In addition to Kaitlyn's work as a Nurse Practitioner with Your Home Medical Care, Kaitlyn also does functional lab testing. Presently, it costs $250 for Kaitlyn to administer the DUTCH Hormone Testing and give recommendations based upon its oft-complex results, but is about to go up to $300 next week. So purchase DUTCH Hormone Testing & Evaluation through Kaitlyn Barnett this week before the price increase.

SICK VISIT WORK-INS
We've developed the habit of going-above-and-beyond and doing work-in sick visits for patients, but the past several weeks, we've had several requests for work-ins every day. Some of you have wanted to get worked in, but we've been unable to work you in simply because there are so many requests for work-ins when illness comes to town, as it has in the last couple weeks. But we have families and lives too! Sometimes, we want to eat with our families and sometimes we just have to go to sleep. :-)
So pardon us if we are unable to work you in. I don't know any family doctors who will keep their office open till 9 p.m. doing unscheduled sick work-ins, but Kaitlyn and I do some days! And it's sad to see some patients who requested work-ins but are actually improving actually be disappointed that we weren't able to see them. We try to prioritize the sickest patients, try to understand. If it's not an emergency, don't expect to be worked into an already packed schedule. Go to the website and make an appointment. Most doctors will just send you to the E.R. or Urgent Care for an acute sickness when their office is closed, but we try to go above and beyond. Be patient with us. Sometimes we do have to tell you that you need to go to the E.R. or Urgent Care, but we try to save you that expense and see you in the comfort of your home whenever feasible. We're doing the best we can.
And if I promised to do a consult letter for you, or a sick note for your children, or schedule an imaging study, and it's not done yet, be patient with us. We're prioritizing the sickest patients and most pressing requests right now. You're on our things-to-do list. We'll get to it. Promise.
Sometimes, it's "feast or famine" as a family medical providers. Our practice actually has room to grow, we really do! But when sickness comes to town like this, it's non-stop work some days. Thank you for understanding. We TRULY care about you.
We're trying to put the "CARE" back into healthcare and the "FAMILY" back into Family Practice.
